I can't pin point it, Maybe the date, but something seems off to me about this one. If it is real, Its a very nice find. F details due to rim ding and deep obv and rev scratches.

Hi, you need the big experts here to evaluate this one because it's one of if not THE most faked morgan. I have some questions about the word "god", the mint mark and the 9. Let's see what others say

It appears to me that if indeed fake, Weight wont be a factor on this one. Looks to be struck in 90% coin silver which will make it on par with your normal weights.

Not an expert, but from the die cracks (especially at the date and eagle's right wing tip)and clashing, I would venture that it is real and is a VAM 2 - 2a if the letter transfer is present. *** But it is possible they are getting good at making fake VAMs also.....
Rest in Peace

with 91o as this being a legit VAM-2A. I can also make out the die crack from the rim to the letter S in Pluribus.

Ya I thought VAM 2 after I looked as well but thought the mm looked larger. I guess from wear flatening.

Nice fine condition coin. The rim ding might get it a NET grade.

I'm stuck between VG10 and F12 but I'm also a conservative grader. Appears legit.

F12. Nice example of this key date. Your grandfather had a good taste in coins.

thanks guys. I don't think he was much of a collector, just saved what he could. These coins have been stored in a small sewing case for many years.

F-12, I don't think the nic would cause a details grade on this one.
