The column next to Lincoln appears to be doubled or is it something else. Your comments are always appreciated.

Nothing is doubled. Just a normal cent.

There are 4 false columns on all Memorial cents on the dies design. As the die is polished some wear off the die weakening or removing the from the struck coins. But why do they add these columns? To look like the actual site. If show the rows of columns behind the 12 ones in the front of the building:


The arrows point to the 4 false columns. That is what you are seeing on your coin.
