The die gap wasn't correct for the strike so metal flow into Lincoln's shoulder/vest left this area weak. As noted, this is seen on many Lincoln Memorial cents of seeming every date of issue. You might want to save this as an educational piece to show to a new collector. (Show and tell coin) DDD and other issues that don't increase the value of this coin. (only costs one cent to keep it) Sometimes harder to find what you need quickly for the DDD issue. Keep it in a half dollar tube for such purposes for show and tell coins. Richard S.
