1957 D Obverse Feeder Fingers? - Coin Community Forum

Marv65 Bedrock of the Community United States 10601 Posts	Posted 02/08/2024 4:46 pm Could be just some kind of die damage as Feeder Finger Damage on Lincoln cents are mostly on the reverse side of the coins pertaining to the reverse die is the anvil where the planchet sits before striking. stoneman227 Pillar of the Community United States 2376 Posts	Posted 02/08/2024 9:28 pm Damage to the die, feeder finger or not, would show as a raised anomaly on the coin itself. These appear to be recessed areas. If not damage after the coin was struck , these recessed areas could have been on the planchet before strike. Report this Post to the Staff
