Nice '24-D! markha says EF40 and I agree. Could go anywhere from 35 to 45 but 40 sounds good!

VF-35, just a hair of wear takes it out of EF.

Cover that left wheat ear and it is 45 easy, but, I am afraid Thad has it. Some of those wheat lines are almost gone. Jim

The wear on the left wheat ear drags this one (kicking and screaming)
down to VF-35, but it should certainly get the little green CAC sticker
for being a truly outstanding coin for that grade!

If this one was in a local dealer's case, they'd probably be asking
EF money for it, and I think it would sell pretty quickly.

It is a beauty! Nice pickup, JimR!

I agree with VF-35. Very nice coin, I just hope it is not AT.

I paid AU money for this LWC at a coin show. Knowing the 24-D is normally weakly struck I felt it would have a chance at XF. I will say it has the underlying luster still of an AU50-53 coin. In the end I paid the premium for the above average strike and toning.

Jim, I am glad to hear you say that. Grading is so speculative. I have many coins I have technically paid a premium for but I simply liked them and that is all that matters. We have some very skilled graders here on the forum and as you see with this coin, there is a 10 pt difference in opinion. You have a beautiful coin.

Jim
