are these worth anything? I have seen many and have around 30 or 40 of them. I am not sure of the value of them.

Um, where's it from? France, Belgium, Switzerland and Monaco all issued "francs". Give us a pic and/or the inscriptions to help us narow it down.

on the back it has "1/2 franc 1841" inside a wreath
the front has "Louis Pillipe I Roi Des francais"

Ah, those are French ones then.
OK, next step: they should all have a mintmark, at the base of the reverse below the wreath. Your options for 1841 are: A, B, BB, K or W.
They're silver, .900 fine, about 0.07 ounces, so they won't be worthless even if they're worn flat. Here's the sort of price range we're looking at, according to Krause: the commonest is "A" mint (Paris), $5 in Fine, $25 in EF. Scarcest is "BB" mint (Strasbourg, mintage only 10,000), $15 in Fine, $60 in EF. The others are in between, in the $7/$30 range.

This is a "W" mint. What does the W represent?

"W" is the mintmark for Lille. 1841 mintage is 234,000, CV $7 in Fine, $30 in EF.

I was helping my grandmother clean out her house when she filed for bankruptcy. I found several coffee cans filled with old coins. That is where I found them

Yeah, all same date. No My great-great grandfather went to france and came back with them. Just asked her today where they were from.
