They are fairly cheap on ebay. Look for an earlier die state than this one in BU. The circulated ones are in the less than $10 range.

From April 2012 to Oct 2013 I was roll searching halves. My records show that one of these popped up on the average about every 240 1974-D halves I searched.

Bow if only I could find a place to get massive amounts of ONLY 1974-D halves to search...

I like this variety since it is so pronounced. The rest of the DDOs that are noticeable are harder to find. The 72 is as nice separation as the 74-d. The 71D and 73D are not quite as nice. The 77d is also pretty good.
