A $10 Indian head eagle. I've always found that coin to be the best looking in it simplicity. I remember seeing it on tv when I was a kid and always wanting it. Now I hope I can afford one, one day.

For pure value, I'd go for the Sultan of Muscat-Childs-Pogue 1804 silver dollar that failed to sell during the Pogue auction. The last bid was a would-be-record-breaking $10.6 million and that was still below the reserve.

Then I'd probably sell coin to fund a finest known CC Morgan collection and still have about 8 million left over.

For my own satisfaction, I would probably get the Judd-1392 Sailor Head pattern 20C in the highest grade I could find.

Mine would be a 1795 Draped Bust Half Eagle with the Heraldic Eagle reverse. It is presumed that they were actually produced in 1798 when the employees found a 1795- dated obverse die and married it up with a by then 1798 reverse die... And thus the variety was created.
