Hello everyone,

I watched a youtube video about Mercury dimes and the person mentioned to look out for a gold toned 1943 D Mercury dime.

Well, I found one...has anyone heard of them before? Where they gold toned from the mint? Never heard of that before.

Huh, from your picture it don't look gold toned, just beat up! (AKA worn from circulation)

LOL! I know Mark its the microscope white LEDs...heres a comparison coin, gold mercury beat up next to standard beat up mercury lol

I would kind of tend to some kind of environmental toning - maybe dropped on the ground for awhile! ?

Yeah I would agree...I wish I could find that video again that mentioned it, I even wrote down on my key dates n such list "1943 D gold tone"
