1958 US Nickel Possible Die Crack On The Reverse

Usually happens with a faulty mixture in the blank planchet. A die crack would be raised on the coin in the exact shape of the crack on the die. Report this Post to the Staff

A die die crack is a die issue. A lamination will have more value than a die crack. But don't put in your notice to retire. It is a very small premium. Crack, pretty common. I would call the lamination an error. The die crack more of a die event. (not in a good way) Report this Post to the Staff
