I bought a roll of 63-D Franklins on ebay for the bullion value. (104.50 for a roll). However, on examination, besides the two coins on the end of the roll, the middle ones all appeared AU to BU. I switched some junk walkers into a plastic bag and put the Franklins in their plastic holder. But I was worried I might have damaged some coins in the handling. How do I preserve silver coins?

I think you got a pretty good deal 104.50 for the roll (20ct right?). I would put the Bu's in non-pvc flips for storage if you have broken the roll. I do not even own any certified Franklins. All of mine came from Bu rolls too. My very first roll was suppose to be a junk roll of Kennedy halves... I had it hanging around for several weeks before I took a closer look at it. After opening the bagged roll I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a Bu roll of 1963 P and P with a few 1955's in the mix. Nevertheless I was pretty happy :)
