1982 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Unusual Coin With Double Rim And Two Die Cracks

allcoinsaregood Pillar of the Community United States 808 Posts	Posted 04/07/2025 5:01 pm This is a very interesting 1982 P LMC coin. First it weighs 3.1 GM's so it's copper and it has a small 2 on the date. On the obverse it has two rims starting at God of the motto to Lincoln's shoulder and a Cud between the two rims left and right of the L of Liberty. It is very unusual to find a double rim approximately 40% of the coin, a first for me. Secondly the reverse has two Die Cracks from the left and right Memorial roof line across the I's in United & America! I guess you could say the I's have it. JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21692 Posts	Posted 04/07/2025 5:10 pm The Obverse is caused by a Misaligned Die. The cracks are common in that area, sometimes they show in all four corners of the memorial. Probably a weak spot in the die. Report this Post to the Staff
