1979-D Roosevelt Dime With Small D Mintmark

Here's something that struck me as unusual. I found this dime in change, and compared to other 1979-D's I've seen, the mintmark is really small. I was just wondering if anyone has seen anyhting like this before, or knows anything about it. Thanks!

It looks like it got moved... I can see something below it and to the right. An outline of the original D maybe?

I don't remember having seen this before but such things do happen sometimes.

Frequently when these are seen on the older clad it's caused by a weak strike of the mint mark punch. It's hard to tell from the picture.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.

It's not worth sending. You have a dime there that is worth. . . a dime. Get it slabbed and it is worth. . . a dime.
