I picked this up the other day, because it's my first one with a "we" that is legible. However it is VERY dark in hand and you need a loupe to see the detail. How much does the color and darkness detract from the grade? How would you grade it.

I don't think the color itself would detract much, but it does look like the beginning stages of corrosion, which may signify a "details" grade.

Chewy... The shield is a key element in grading these and on this one it's just too out of focus for a determination. You might try backing off a little when you take a photo as your camera probably operates better with a longer focal length... Give it a try and see how it goes.. I would guess an XF on this one, but it's just a guess at this point.
