This is either a sestertius or an as with Providentia reverse. A Severus Alexander sestertius should weigh about 20g. An as will be less than half that. Report this Post to the Staff

dougsmit Pillar of the Community United States 1549 Posts	Posted 01/02/2012 10:37 pm I don't have one that light but this has some porosity and is a later type so I suspect that is reasonable. I've not seen the as but acsearch lists one at 7.47g. Their lightest sestertius is 17g and most are 20+. Report this Post to the Staff
