Does not sound good; dead tracking number = was not accepted at the USPS = never sent. You will get your money back.

Thanks guys. Yes, I did pay with paypal. There could be a reasonable explanation for this.....but it looks bad from where I'm sitting.

Wow, the seller just got some bad feedback from someone else regarding fake PCGS coins! Sheesh, maybe I should be glad he never sent me the coin.

Contact Paypal right away so you are within the item return time frame and usually Paypal is good about getting you our money back or contacting the seller for you.

I just opened my first case on ebay. I won an item a few weeks ago but haven't gotten it, and they haven't responded to any of my messages. They've got sales since then that have gone through, some with positive and some with negative feedback.

Wow, 2 More negatives on this guys record as of today, and neither are by me. He is apparently a scammer, no more sympathy on this end. Time to get my money back.

Quote: If it never showed acceptance at the PO then any delivery confirmation on it wouldn't have worked either. Just to clarify, this is not true. Contrary to popular belief Delivery Confirmation is not tracking. It's Delivery Confirmation as the name suggests. All you are buying is Confirmation of Delivery and that's all they are required to do. Any scans/updates along the way, including the acceptance, are technically bonuses even though they are usually made. I've seen plenty of items coming here in my mailbox before they even show accepted on line. DC usually shows up within a few hours though when the scanner is uploaded. On the other side of the coin, in rural areas where the carriers are not USPS employees, DC can be scanned as the truck is loaded in the morning because the carrier doesn't have a scanner... scary stuff.

But if it is scanned for delivery, and there is no record of it in the computer then there is no record to update as delivered. It would seem to me that at best it would record that as the first scan and show it as accepted on that date instead of delivered.

Man John, that's too bad. Obvious con-man. Please publish his ebay id so we can block him.

Thanks Dave. There is a link to the auction on the first message. It's so funny as he had nothing but positive feedback on all of this gold that he sold when I made the purchase. Now, 3 weeks later, he has received a neutral and 4 negatives all in a row from different buyers! Most of them accusing him of selling fakes. Do you think the earlier buyers received fake coins in fake slabs too, but just didn't realize it? I don't know what to think, but it is sure bum luck. It's odd that he shipped other people fakes, and didn't ship me anything; but I'm glad he didn't as I'd hate to go through the hassle of a return.

I went back and took a look at his feedback and early auctions. They appear to be first generation Chinese fake slabs. I suspect everything he has sold has been fakes.

Wow. Johnny you got lucky that he ran out of fakes of the coin you bought. I hope (and expect they will) that ebay and Paypal look at the facts in this case and you get your money back. I'm still buying stuff on the bay pretty regular, but I'm really careful about who from, and it appears you did your due diligence, but you just never know for sure unless it's someone you've dealt with before I guess.
