Quote: When we're done with this, let's do another $100K, OK? don't think my heart could take seeing several thousand more Ikes spread around and not being able to get a few more for myself. Quote: Anyone who is 100% against marking coins WILL grab a sharpie only to mark the wrappers, cause time is money and marking each coin would cost too much time that I could be getting more money doing things to buy more halves with. that is why I have kept all bicent's from the 10 boxes and loose up until now so I KNOW I hqvent seen everything in the boxes before. that is good enough for me, but not spending then as the 7 rolls above because they are too many, and will probably only be keeping the D bicent's from future boxes or something else that is in every box, but very limited like 1978 or something, so I always have something to keep that I never get rid of while searching. ergo, never end up with a skunk box. ----------------------------- $1 Pre$: OJ $47,008.50 to go.EDIT:$118.50 halves: cigs, groceries $46,890 to go.

Quote: Anyone who is 100% against marking coins WILL grab a sharpie after 10 or 20 or 30 straight skunk boxes. It all depends on your personal threshold and how much mentally you can take before you ask yourself how many times have I seen this coin before marking it to find out. I've never lifted a sharpie to mark a half, but I have been known to counterstamp a lot of them. I don't counterstamp all of them mainly due to time constraints. Rest assured, I spend my halves.

Quote: I have been known to counterstamp a lot of them That is how I started because it was petty to use a Sharpie but I found I was spending as much time stamping vs searching so last April I had to resort to a sharpie. I still occasionally find one of my early counterstamped but based on the number stamped and the current resurfacing rate I think most are either repurposed by the FED and melted or relocated to a different district. There was a time back on page early 900 something of the CRH half thread where someone posted they found a few of mine but they disappeared along with anymore coming to daylight.
