Spent 19 on three cases of water, and I heard the cashiers have a conversation about the coins afterward. I spent one more, along with $4 in bills, to buy a sandwich and popcorn. So that's a total of 20 spent.
$95,368.50

Didnt spend any but reporting that dollar coins are extremly popular. Valley Christian High School got new vending machines that ejected dollar coins and students are emptying the machines by putting a $10 bill in and just getting dollar coins because there "cool"

They could get hundreds of them at many banks. I picked up 500 on my last bank run.

I went to D.C. with my family last week on vacation. I took a roll or dollar coins and a roll of halves with me. But I only spent 5 dollars and 4 halves while I was there. Doing better now that I am back home. I spent 1 each at the grocery store, 1 dollar at the coin club meeting, 3 dollars and 2 halves at Home Depot, and 4 dollars at Wendy's. That is 17.50 total. $95,351 to go.

Ok, I had the most hilarious encounter with a cashier. I handed her two 2011 Native American dollars to pay for my soda, and she refused them. The best part was when she said, "sorry, we don't take pesos", Yes she actually said that! Anywho, the manager comes over, and apologizes for everything. $95,332
