Why are halves being counted now? I thought this was just for dollar coins?

^^I see that halves are in fact allowed to be counted.

Anyway, I spent one Presidential dollar on lunch today. I personally only spend them in place of dollar bills. So if my bill is for example, $7.00, I'll give them a five and two dollar coins. That is if I have them. My bank stopped ordering them a while ago and I can only get my hands on a small amount of loose coins.

@ Nina: It's been said that movie theaters are actually snack bars that just happen to show movies. They are the attractions to get people to spend $ at the lobby.
