I ordered 12 sets for myself at 12:08 they went to in stock and reserved This AM

My cancel boxes are still up but the first order (2 sets at 4PM on the 7th) has been charged and is "in stock and reserved". My second order (1 set on the 23rd) has also gone "in stock and reserved" but has not been charged yet. What I can tell you is that if your order gets marked as shipped before 3PM ET today then it will really ship tonight and if you have upgraded shipping you will get it Tuesday (Monday if you paid for the expedited shipping). Orders that mark as shipped after 3PM ET will not ship tonight, they will go out Monday night for Wednesday delivery along with Monday's before 3PM shipments. That may change if the mint has made arrangements to ship on Saturday. It will be interesting to see if my 4PM order gets out today or not, I imagine a lot of orders were placed before it.
Shipments don't really happen when the track order page says so. All shipments go out in the afternoon. What an order marked as shipped means is that the shipping label has been created and if that happens before 3PM ET the package will go out.

I never ordered from mint before, I ordered my set in 6/22 number 80,xxx, when I check my status it said 1 unit backordered until 7/27, I look today and it says in stock and reserved, I don't know if they charged me or not yet. Any guesses when mine will be shipped? I called mint they were no help...  Any guess would help, think ill just stick to buying from ebay and local coin shops,lol. |

My first order (4PM ET 6/7) now has the cancel button removed but is not yet tagged as shipped. There is only about one more hour until the daily shipping cutoff so it is likely that my order won't actually ship until Monday (even if it gets tagged as shipped later today). My second order (6/23) is now "in stock and reserved" but still has the cancel button and is not charged to CC. I expect that since it is very near the end of the first round that it may be two or three weeks before it ships. The "in stock and reserved status" starts their "one or two weeks" clock ticking but I don't think that they can meet it this time. My last two orders (7/3 and 7/5 @ 3:30PM ET) are probably six or seven weeks away from shipping.
tkflex36, your 6/22 order, like my 6/23 one is probably about three weeks from shipping. Two more things will happen before it ships. Your CC will be charged and the cancel button will be removed. Once those happen your order will ship in one to three days if all is going well at PBGS.
Williamsonj320, your order and my last one will be among the last shipped, probably six or seven weeks from now if all goes well and ten or eleven if it does not.

Yep, I knew not to expect any miracles for sooner deliveries but the end of October seems like a lifetime away.

One of the last things the mint said on the product page before the counter went away was that they expected shipping to go from 7/27 to mid October. This would imply that those with 10/31 dates might start seeing items ship in late September or early October.

Mine shows as shipped now. Ordered the first day at 1:07 ET.
BTW: Did anyone else get a US Mint survey in their email from Kyle Konopka at nationalanalysts.com? Is this legit?

Just checked the status of my order and it is listed as "in process", is there any true figure of what the total issue count was?

Mach1, I received the same email. I will do some checking before participating, I don't like that this invite did not come directly from the mint.
basicbob101, there is no reason to doubt the mint's final total of 251302 sets ordered. They will most likely report the final net number shipped out (total ship - total return) sometime next year. Also, the "in process" status is an order status. Mint orders have two status types, order and item. They are similar but differ in a few important ways. Items will go from backordered with an "expected ship date" to "in stock and reserved" and then to shipped. Sometime during "in stock and reserved" (which can last for two weeks or more) your CC will be charged, which means that your item sill ship in a matter of days (even though the FAQs say that the charge will not occur until an item actually ships). Even "shipped on ,,/dd/yyyy" does not mean that the item has in fact left the PBGS site, it only means that it has been prepared for shipping. If that occurs before 3PM ET then it will ship, otherwise it will go out the next business day.

wif99, if your 1:07 order changed to shipped after 3PM ET then it won't go out until Monday and the 12:08 order may have caught up with it by then and they may well ship and arrive together. FIFO is not an item by item gate, it is a general goal. Orders are given to pickers in groups and it is at that point that they go to "in stock and reserved" status and at that point they are in FIFO order as long as no CC issues have been encountered. Differences in picker load and speed and in packer load and speed can impact FIFO and can cause orders to get out of order and even cause a day difference in actual shipping if things are happening around the 3PM cut off time. My 4PM order has also gone "in stock and reserved" and my CC has been charged but it will not ship today (and possibly not Monday either). My 6/23 order has also gone "in stock and reserved" but no CC charge has happened and it probably won't ship for two or three weeks.
