That kind of paper was almost never used for currency. Fold it a half dozen times and you have pieces of notes. Notes are usually on parchment or rags.

Best chance would be states west of Ohio in mid-1800s, where they printed on whatever they could find.

Interesting aside: Liberry curators with old books on parchment encourage visitors to carefully turn pages, even on books they're not reading.

Parchment has natural oils and flexing it keeps it supple. Otherwise, like a good pair of shoes that has not moved in a closet, bend it back into place and "snap!"
