I have many ounces of silver that I would like to list on ebay. (maples to e exact) how do I list it where I get the melt value + premium but not lose on the shipping. How would I sen to Canada and America at the cheapest price?
You can charge whatever you want for S&H, if that helps. Some sellers charge well over $10 for domestic S&H to cover ebay charges; much more so for international deliveries. ebay frowns on this practice but that doesn't stop people from doing it.
If there is a minimum price that you would like to net (after ebay and paypal fees and shipping costs), simply set your initial price as the desired net price plus the extra costs. This way you get the price that you want, otherwise there is no sale and you keep it and can try again. As long as it is an auction, you won't be charged anything if the item doesn't sell. Listing with 'buy it now' costs $0.50 per listing if I'm not mistaken, and the ebay fees are slightly higher percentage.
I'm not sure about Canada, but you can ship anything domestically in the U.S. 3 oz and under in the U.S. with delivery confirmation for $1.64. ebay fees also apply to shipping costs. Hope this helps.
