If I was to pick up all the Morgans in a date set (date set only...not including different mints) what price range would I be looking at. I want the coins in Fine or better condition. Best estimates out there?

Well, you should be able to get most for around $40 except for 1893 and 1895. Those would be about $250 each.

thats not terrible. I didnt know which 2 or 3 years were going to be the expensive ones. I have been picking up a lot around 28-35. A few MS but for the more common years

There are also slots/holes for the mint marks, at the end of the set there are spots for
S,O,CC and D mint.. the CC could start at over $70 depending on year and grade.

I do think if you are happy with grades of "fine" you could get most of the common years closer to $30 .. or less. Seems like for a Morgan date set it ends up being 32 or 34 coins .. I would have to dig mine out to come up with the number.

I have been working on a complete set of Morgans for a few years now.
And have about decided to just switch to a date set. I still need about 16
Morgans and none of them are cheap. A date set I would have allready completed.
Then I would have a pretty nice lot of MS extras I might be able to sell.
My pockets just are not deep enough for the rare key date Morgans
Good luck on your date set.
