1950 S/G Washington Quarter With Unusual Mint Mark

mds308 Pillar of the Community United States 1721 Posts	Posted 11/17/2012 9:58 pm I was hunting through some 1950 Washington quarters and I was hoping to find an S/D or a D/S but came across this unusual mint mark. It looks like an S over a g. The S looks like a lower case g. Maybe caused by a chipped die? I think it's cool. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for the help. Report this Post to the Staff

Is there ANY premium above silver value on this or is it just a novelty item? I hate the idea of flipping it for silver value so I've put this coin in a 2x2 and will file it with the other error coins in my collection. Thanks again for your help and or input.
