Problem With 64-Kennedy Accented Hair

PWinDavis Valued Member United States 86 Posts	Posted 11/20/2012 7:10 pm I recently got this Kennedy and am kind of disappointed. It seems the marks are on the coin rather then the slab... The big question for me now is if I crack it out of the slab (which I was considering to do anyway) is there a way I can clean it? Anyway thoughts on this would be appreciated... Those marks - a function of how the Mint washed and treated the unstruck planchet - are not reversible without a grinder. That's the reason for the (relatively) low grade. I wouldn't crack this one if I were you. It's an added-value variety as an Accented Hair, and as such when it comes time to liquidate it (even if that's your heirs) the support of the PCGS authentication will expand your potential buying demographic.
