Is there a place online where I can send my scrap sterling and junk coins mainly 40% halves to be refined down into a .999 silver bar? I know that there is probably a thread somewhere in the cyber graveyard but I can't find it. Thank you for the help.

Many refining companies will do it. I believe kitco gives you the option as well as edi refinery. I would suggest against as the cost is not worth it as your better off just selling it and buying .999 with the proceeds.

The last batch I sent off to the refiners was over 500t. Oz in which I got 98% of spot.

The more silver you got for refining the more the power swifts towards the seller.

Silver towne has a smelter too I think, not sure if theyll take 40 percent but unless you have a lot you probably would be better off selling it and buying what you want or trading some here and there

Yeah thats what I was kind of figuring just liked the idea. I do quite of business with Silvertowne so I'll give them a holla and see what if anything they can offer. Thanks for the tips
