Hi, I have a 1999 Canadian nickel that looks like it was supposed to be an nickel medal nickel. It is made of copper and slightly smaller than a regular nickel, and thin like a penny. I think a copper blank got put into a run of nickels. The coin is in excellent condition, I am just trying to find out what it might be worth.

Thanks

From what l see it doesn't look small enough to be a penny planchet - a penny is quite a bit smaller and l dont think any rim or bead detail would fit on it ld guess its a plated nickel - the weight would help tell better in my opinion since l could be way wrong
