My last purchase was not one I was expecting to buy. One of the dealers brought out a box of unattributed coins offering any and all for $10. Most were not coins I was in the market for, but I found this little gem for which I was able to offer the dealer 7$. SICILY, SYRACUSE, HIERON II, AE19 SG 1223, struck between 275-216 BC. I paid a lot more than that for my own example. Your is a nice example and extraordinary value for money. A good buy indeed.  Martin |

I've seen several of these posted here on this forum, and I always thought I might get one some day. This one is not in the best of conditions as you can see. It's pitted and worn. But for $7 how could I pass on it? Thanks for all the remarks.

Great coin JW! I have yet to get a Poseidon. I like the trident on the reverse. It has some great details! Especially fro the the price! |
