Hi all, I purchased this scale off the bay recently after reading a decent review of it on here some time ago. I got the 300g x .01 version, with the 10g calibration scale. Well it came today.. the instructions are simple, and I am somewhat familiar with scales from a past part time produce dept job, but I cannot get this one to work. It says the 10g calibration weight weighs 300g, and it says a 2.5 zinc Lincoln Cent weighs 93g. It won't even measure an Ike dollar, saying it is too heavy. I've gone through the calibrations steps a dozen times now, and can't get it. Does anyone have any idea or is familiar with this scale? I know it's a "less expensive" model, but I don't need anything elaborate - but thought this would actually work.

Are you sure it's set to grams and not grains?

Yes, that's a good point but checked that already. The cent should weigh 2.5 grams and I left it on the scale as I selected the various modes, and nothing came out at 2.5 anything. I probably got a lemon, but didn't know if I was missing something..

Just checking:
you are confident you are weighing a zincoln?
did you zero the scale with nothing on it?
you're sure its on a level surface?

Since its from a seller directly from China, I wouldn't be surprised if its a faulty one.

For what it's worth, and for the sake of the seller, I did complain that I possibly got a bad unit, and they did refund my money.

Kind of eyeing this one up. Have ner had a scale but would like one to weigh 1oz to 20oz. Thoughts on this one for quality and price point.

Nice heavy duty one, but it doesn't measure to the hundredth gram...
