Hello All, Its my 1st time posting & I wish I would have found this forum sooner !! I've been collecting for about 10yrs now & have a modest collection. I was considering selling a few of my Notes & wanted a couple opinions 1st from ya'll

As the title states, I received a $20 over the counter @ my business a while back & since I look @ every single bill that goes through, I found a 1999FRN AL San Fran $20 with sn#AL 77777771 L the L's line up cool with the 7's & of course I wish like H%LLthat the 1 was another 7, but it didnt cost me a cent of $20 since the guy used it to pay for something. I would Grade it @ Very Very Fine, with no Ink, Folds & holes/tears what so ever. Its not UNCH but really really above average. I deff understand its worth what someone would pay, haha !! but I was curious what you guys think it may be worth as a starting bid #? I know presonally that 7's are my favorite Fancy's & since the higher they are, the rarer they are, its got me wondering haha!!

I truly hate to sell it, but, life has me thinking about it...Thanks Everyone !!

& Sorry Bill is not with me at the moment so I dont have a PIC right now but can & will post

I totally agree & understand, I will deff grab it & bring it in & snap some PICs tomorrow. Its a cool beans looking note with all them 7's...When the guy handed it to me & saw the SN# before the bill was even in my hands, haha !! after looking @ bills for 10+ years in the quantity I see, as yall know, its 2nd nature lol!! I've maybe "bought" cash @ a bank banded 3x times ever & alot of my collection is over the ctr bills, save my Nationals, $500's, $1000's & Hawaii's & such..Its almost mind blowning what people pull from their matress & use for larger purchases, haha !!

Just checked Heritage's auction archive and it looks like a $20 in AU condition with near solid serial brings $40 to $60 depending on series year. Might want to check ebay as well.

It is certainly something for ebay if the time comes to let it go. I was thinking $80 shooting from the hip

Looking good...looks like it has one fold, but the crease isn't very noticeable.

Total Fail on my part I dont know how the heck I had the info all mixed up. It truly doesn't matter much but its obviously a 2004 EG-F Bill rather than a 1999 SanFran, lol..Overall matters none what so ever, lol !!

I have to agree that ebay is probably the best place to sell this note.

I could see it hitting $80 on ebay on a good day. Solids are popular, and all 7's are probably second only to all 8's in popularity (IMO).

FYI I saw a crisp uncirculated $20 FRN, unsure the year, but with 77777770 serial number go for $70 on ebay as I was trolling 'ending soonest' listings on ebay this morning. Your note isn't in quite as good of condition, so I'd still say around $50. Can't find the auction again for the life of me...
