For the 1843 coin I paid £1.75 with free postage and for the 1844 coin I paid £1.47 plus 80p postage ,so how did I do guys?

You could buy this pair from a dealer for about three pounds, so the price you paid that includes postage is a bit more than half.
I always include ebay and postage costs nett in what I buy.

It's only a couple of quid, and for coins that are 170 years old that's not bad.

There's a variant of the 1844 has has the E of regina superimposed on an N. Worth about double, but sadly looks like yours i'snt one of those.
