how can I know the size of the letter C in this coin

Measure it is the best answer I can give without seeing the reverse. The 50 centimes and 1,2 franc of 1944 used this obverse and had C on them.

1 franc light type diameter 23mm depth 1.45mm, I don't think the heavy type was minted in 1944 but that had a depth of 1.85mm
2 franc diameter 27mm depth 1.7mm
50 centimes light type diameter 18mm depth 1.27mm, again I don't believe the heavy type was minted in 1944 but it's diameter was 18mm and depth 1.5mm.


This is what I can find out, there may of been more coins with the same obverse with the use of the C mintmark.

Edit: It's known as the Vichy French state 1 franc or 2 franc. C mintmark was for Castelsarrasin.
