Hi- This is my first time on a forum. I've collected for over 30 years. I have a 1824 capped bust half. By comparison its should be in the AU range. It's an Overton 0.115. My question is whom would be the best company to grade this coin. or I should I just list it for my purchase. Unfortunately I need the money or would not part with it. It's a beautiful coin. Fred
Very nice coin. I agree with the PCGS. Better holders, more appealing, and that will grade up there pretty high. Sorry to hear about situation, I would hate to part with it too.
It is a lovely coin ... I suggest PCGS for certification. Many buyers today are leary of raw coin ... although your photographs are for sure acceptable to an experienced collector.
You could try ebay with these photos of the raw coin ... set a minimum at an acceptable price.
