Went through my family's spare coin jar looking for Canadian .999 nickels. Sadly I only found 2. But to my surprise I found 2 silver dimes. (1960 and a 1967 centennial)

Today, June 6, 2014: I got a 1944-D LWC in change from Chipotle. A 1944 shell casing Cent, on D-Day!  Never forget our heroes!  |

I've been a bank teller for 7 months. Here is a list of my best finds from circulation:
Cents: 1958 Proof Wheat
Nickels: 1943-S War, 2009-P
Dimes: 1964 Silver
Quarters: 2 Canadian silvers, 1965 US quarter in MS condition
Halves: 1968 40% silver, 4 proofs
Dollars: 4 Proof Sacagaweas

I went to a bank the other day and scored an Ike. I am now using it as my pocket piece.

I work at a convenience store and here are my best scores: Penny: 1893 and 1900 Indian Head cents, 1943 steel cent Nickel: 1912 V nickel, assorted Buffalo nickels and War NickelsDime: over 35 silver Roosevelt dimesQuarter: 2 or 3 silver quarters, a 1976-S 40% business strike quarter Half: several Franklins, several 40% Dollar coin: several Ikes, 1979 wide rim SBD |

I've worked as a bank teller for nearly 2 years. Here are my best finds: Cent: numerous Wheats, mostly from the 40s and 50s. Oldest was 1925. Nickels: A couple War Nickels and a dateless Buffalo. Dimes: About a dozen silver Roosevelts (no Mercs yet). Also a 1949 Canadian silver dime. Quarters: About a half dozen silver Washingtons, including a 1963 cameo proof. Halves: 3 40% Kennedys. Dollars: NIFC Ikes (1973 P,D, and S clad proof), proof Polk and Fillmore dollars, several NIFC Sacs, 1964 Canada silver dollar, and a 1995 ASE. Paper currency: $1 silver certificates (x2: 1957 and 1957B) Edited by hcmusicguy

I forgot to mention my paper money finds. I've found 2 or 3 Series 1957 $1 silver certificates and a $5 United States Note with the red seal and serial.

I forgot to mention: I used to work in a truck stop up until about 6 years ago. I once found a "copy" 1861 Confederate Half in the till, and it still resides in my collection.
Oh, and chalk up a fourth 40% Kennedy for me.

Just started getting interested in coins a few months ago. Went through 87 dollars of daily pocket change I'd been throwing in a jar. Found one 1963 Roosevelt dime... Yipee! |

I received a 2001-D North Carolina State Quarter that is an all silver clad (plated) coin very much like your 2001-P NC all silver coin. Have you found anymore information regarding this coin? mine is slightly heavier than the usual but as I don't have an accurate scale I cannot tell you how much heavier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
