What is your opinion on this Roman Republic denarius (authenticity, has it been tooled, ect ect..) struck between 194-190 BCE Weight-3.62 g All I know about this coin is it was valued a ten asses instead of sixteen. It has been completely cleaned weight seems consistent with they type. I suppose it now comes down to, what are you looking for in a coin. Are you looking for something with better surfaces, more reverse detail, are you looking for a RR type. The reason why I ask is because there are far more interesting RR coins. Not that this not a nice piece but there are so many of these RR with a basic ROMA obverse with and Mounted Unit reverse you could probably do better with the same money. I would suggest looking for the more interesting RR coins and then making the necessary concessions. (Budget vs. condition/rarity/appeal/type) Report this Post to the Staff
