Like mine were probably buried before going into battle & were so caked with dirt. Just curious, hard to believe that they could of been handed down from generation to generation, treasure chests? As for it being Claudius II ,that is fine. Roman coins tended to have a long circulation life. If I recall Cassius Dio (a famous historian) was writing in the 210's and 220's and mentioned how people would pay extra for coins of Mark Antony stuck in 31 BCE that came up in circulation.
