We have moved one page since they went on order. Compare that to the Liberty medal thread.

$34.95 item maxed at 12,500 vs. a $865 item maxed at 70,000 The former was a no brainer right from the start... Instead I'm gonna put my cash on a tube of 10 Teddy 5 ouncers for $1075. I think the spot play will work out better than the potential of the gold half. (sorry for the late edit JB ) ...and another edit: price was actually $1008 shipped for the tube not $1075

The former was a no brainer right from the start... Yup. Exactly.

When the coins run out they will be selling on ebay for $1000. I got one but they are expensive. If they were cheaper I would have gotten three.

Like the Mercury dime, when I found out these commems are not full sized, I lost interest -- but my wallet is happier.

I am with the group that did not like the fact that they weren't full size. And I have not taken the gold plunge yet. I can buy a lot of silver for that price.

I attempted to place my order right at 12:00, but I kept getting errors when I tried to finalize the purchase. It did finally go through after about 5 minutes, though, and I ended up with order number USM04640XXX. I just got one, since I don't plan to flip them and just wanted to complete the set.

I have a full set of the old LWH dollars so I had to get the gold one. I missed the dime but got the LSQ. I see the gold LSQ selling for $700 on ebay. Yes, the coin is overpriced. The price of gold is $1230 an ounce or there abouts so $860+860 is 1720 bucks.

Last raw sale of the SLQ was $498....SP70 grade $526
...but they are still available for $460 from the Mint. Buying an already graded 70 makes sense though

How many complete sets do you think will be out there when this is over and done? You know it is not possible to be more than 70K of them. We also know that not everyone who bought one coin, bought the other 2. We also don't know if the half will even sell out at this point.
Well I do know I have one set now.
