Gold Certificates Valued Member United States 206 Posts	Posted 11/26/2007 9:41 pm It seems that the U.S. Mint keeps on going on and off on their decision for the future edge lettering in the future becuase of the errors. Will there be edge lettering next year, or will all of that stuff be moved to the obverse? What's the latest up date on this? Thank you in advance, -Ben Report this Post to the Staff

Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 11/27/2007 1:40 pm Yes there will be edge lettering next year (no legislation currently in the pipeline to stop it and not really enough time to introduce any before they all go home for the year.) Beyond next year all depends on whether or not they introduce anything next year to change it. If they don't then the lettering will continue indefinitely. And remember the Mint has no say in whether they have edge lettering or not. The lettering was mandated by Congress so the Mint HAS to put the lettering on the edge. Report this Post to the Staff
