Their "medal replica" gold-plated oversized 50 cents coin is cool and good priced. But there is significant miss: the "mokume" technology, that used for the medals (that's why they trendy), doesn't appear on the gold plated coin. So the coin is medal-like, but misses it's main feature Instead of this - other miss - they used a "mokume" for other "sports" silver coin. If it were introduced on some "artistic style Proof Maple" coin with the limited mintage - it could be bestseller... Report this Post to the Staff

Of cause, people might collect sports related coins, but looks like - not the common case. From other hand, the coin commemorates the victory of the Canadian team - will have potential. Or, if RCM would mint affordable priced coin, with just "Pan Am" words on it with the mintage 1000 - 2000, this will be the hit. Report this Post to the Staff
