lonewolf83 New Member United States 6 Posts	Posted 10/30/2015 1:46 pm Found spoons, sterling handle stuff, rimmed coasters, dishes, platters, etc. The finds are spread out over lots of visits to different shops. There are a lot buy me. I only buy it if it says sterling or 925. I also educated myself on other hallmarks from different countrys and found a fork with the three legged lion. Also, old mexican and other vintage silver can be marked 900, 925, 950, 980 and also if it's stamped simple "coin" it means that 90% coins were melted down to make it meaning it's 900 silver. A lot of vintage oriental silver is marked simply "coin" Report this Post to the Staff
Buddy Rest in Peace United States 7075 Posts	Posted 10/30/2015 2:48 pm I found a pair of cheap silver heart-shaped jewelry?) boxes. Not sterling, but they cleaned up just fine and I donated them to my local club for a white elephant auction. I find more collectable pottery than anything else. Also -- check out your local Habitat for Humanity Restore. It's not just building materials. I've seen silver there and seriously underpriced pottery. Report this Post to the Staff
