Both coins are AU Details. both have been dipped stripping off the original surfaces

They do look dead. Not sure why, but that's as good an explanation as I can think of.

Both are XF-45 details.

They looked a bit weird to me as well, but tbh wasn't expecting them to have been dipped

First one looks XF-45, second one looks XF-40.
