I just purchased this today for $23.07 including shipping from the Bay. What grade would you give it?

Not qualified to have an opinion, but just wondering. Was this a piece of jewelry at some point? I notice the blemish at the top of the cap on the obverse and where the C should be at the bottom of the reverse and wondered if it were a filled hole.

Yes, the seller has indicated that this coin is a filled hole. It's interesting how many bust coins have the hole drilled through the letter C making it look like an O when you fill in the hole. This coin also has extensive hairlines, but I am wondering about the details grade and your opinion on the purchase.

It is not gradable with a hole and harsh cleaning. It is what it is though. VG details holed, damaged, cleaned.
