Hello

So I was exploring my dad's collection earlier and came across this 2005 Kansas D quarter that looks absolutely cool. I believe it's a huge dye crack. what do you guys think? is it rare?

Doesn't look like a die crack, just a plain old scratch.

A die crack would be raised. Is it raised?

A few die cracks have been found on the Kansas quarter. I borrowed this photo from another thread (look near the mint mark). Absent better pics and/or a different lighting angle, I tend to agree with moxking, yours kind of looks like a scratch.

Hello again.

You guys guessed right. I had to inspect it closely in a different ligting condition and it looks like a scratch. One heck of scratch actually!

The mark on the OP's coin could be a pencil/ink line on the coin. I don't see that it is raised? (which a die crack would be. also a die crack would not be that straight of a line. (irregularity would be seen on it when looked at it closely)
