I thought this was a plugged S, but it looks more like a D over S possibly. I can find no reference for that error. Any thoughts?

The S and D on those early Walkers that have the mintmark on the obverse are mushy as heck. I have a 1916 S in fine condition and the "S" is still mushy. Maybe that excludes it from being fine. It looks fine other than a crummy mintmark Notice on LSQ's how tiny the mintmark is on the front. Really amazing how vulnerable the dates on these coins were.
