Got a few coins in this week, all of them have been imaged save for one. Heres the pictures, at least one of them is 100% for sure, undoubtedly, positively with guaranteed certainty, a genuine, died in the wool, true blue 1942/1 D, but the others I am in the dark about. I try not to see what I want to see, but what is there. Four pictures for your consideration and review. TIA -Joe

All were sold as standard 1942's (except the ringer) for $40 combined with shipping and all have 14-30 day returns. I havent gotten them under the microscope yet, but will mid-week, next week.

I'll message you on your accuracy so as not to taint the observers and update post-grading

I lost my old login information from mid 2000's but I am pretty sure Coop helped me before, way back when I was trading a lot in the 07-09 years. I've seen few hundred images on the 42/1 D, and they not always obvious. What's your opinion Coop? #1,2,3 or 4? :)

This is not my expertise , but I'll say #1 or #4 . But what's with #3 ,looks like a regular over date on the 1 and the 2 .

#1 is normal. It is missing the doubling on the foot of the 4, there is no remnant of a 1 under the 2.
#2 same as above
#3 MD
#4 1942/1 D
Rest in Peace

Looks like the mint mark site up against a leaf. that should help answer any questions.

#4 is genuine, courtesy PCGS. Others I got to possibly submit, but they were stolen over weekend ; Guess I WON'T be posting true answers to quiz( Reverse of #3 showing mint mark location.....

Well, the aswer to the quiz is what I have already said. The first three are NOT 1942/1 overdates. No question about it. Too bad that they were stolen, but at least you weren't burned on grading fees to learn what everyone is telling you.
