Found My First Barber Dime In The Wild Today !

Made my day! My first barber and I think it's in good shape , above average for a 1901 year coin, what you guys think? . Have a nice weekend everybody ! When I was a kid, I used to go to a bank, ask for $200 from my savings in dime, half, and quarter rolls, go to the library, pick out and replace the silver ones, and take the rolls to a different bank. At 8 x face, you could make $5-$10 an hour doing that, which was a heck of a lot easier than a paper route. No more. Report this Post to the Staff

Even back in the 60s-70s, when a kid and looking through change weekly from my Granfather's laundromats, I never found a Barber. Mercury? Yes. In fact, surprisingly, they showed up in change more than I would have thought they should. Though a couple years ago a co-worker mentioned a Canadian nickel in the till.
