I posted this message on the ebay side, but I thought I would also post it here as well.

There's a fake Lima 1752 8 reales showing up on ebay, attracting pretty healthy bids.

One example is current listed on ebay by piratefan01, item # 331865028024.

Here is the 1753 variety: among other features, note identical scratch between VTRAQUE and VNUM.

The ebay item identified in the original post ended up going for $500. If you check that seller's feedback, recently he's begun selling a bunch of this genre, and raking in a lot of money in the process. without any negative feedback I didn't inspect any of those other completed listings, but perhaps somebody ought to and report if any (all?) of those look as "wrong" too.
