Hello everyone. I have had this 1878 S for awhile now. In fact, it was one of my first ever coins, and one of my favorite and most prized :)

I know this is a variety, but I am having a little trouble identifying the exact VAM. I added some pictures for key identification areas so if anyone can see anything that may help, I appreciate it. (I think it is the 1878 S VAM 17, although I can't be sure. I am NO expert when it comes to all the VAMs!)

Maybe, are you thinking die state 3? I'm not seeing the polish lines below the tail feathers which points to DS-3.

Yeah I tried to zoom in under the feathers and I couldn't really see it even under the light, but so any more indicators are there.
