Grease filled die,common that year.

Like John1 said, Grease Filled Die (?)...because steel is a harder metal than copper/bronze, the dies got beat up and worn down quicker than normal. Grease was used to prolong die life, when only a small portion of die affected. You see this on a lot of "3" & "S" as well this year.

. It's perfectly okay to keep as an example, but in the condition it's in it really has no value. Other than maybe being passed up as a dime in change
