1776-1976 D Quarter Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

Jovian Valued Member United States 147 Posts	Posted 02/08/2017 7:28 pm The first looks like MD, a different angle may show it better. The angle you used on the second is perfect. You can clearly see the flattened devices. It looks like a shelf. Also the retraction rolled the upper edge of the R and part of the B up. This is a good example of MD. Report this Post to the Staff

On hub doubling you see the normal size of the device and a doubled spread on the device. On the MD examples the area in question are flattened, Always the same color as there is no contour to show light to dark. Just a flat step look. Report this Post to the Staff
